Listen to Neil Young's new song
"Let's Impeach the President"

Let’s impeach the president for lying
And leading our country into war
Abusing all the power that we gave him
And shipping all our money out the door
He’s the man who hired all the criminals
The White House shadows who hide behind closed doors
And bend the facts to fit with their new stories
Of why we have to send our men to war
Let’s impeach the president for spying
On citizens inside their own homes
Breaking every law in the country
By tapping our computers and telephones
What if Al Qaeda blew up the levees
Would New Orleans have been safer that way
Sheltered by our government’s protection
Or was someone just not home that day?
Let’s impeach the president
For hijacking our religion and using it to get elected
Dividing our country into colors
And still leaving black people neglected
Thank god he’s racking down on steroids
Since he sold his old baseball team
There’s lot of people looking at big trouble
But of course the president is clean
Thank God

Which State Will Be First to Start Impeachment?
Three state legislatures, Illinois, California, and Vermont, have now introduced resolutions to send petitions to the U.S. House of Representatives to initiate impeachment proceedings against Bush (and, in the case of California, Cheney too). Minnesota, Missouri, and Oklahoma all have legislatures still active in May. Delaware, Louisana, R.I., South Carolina, and Puerto Rico are all up and running through June. New Hampshire is in session through July. Every state has legislators brave enough to take the lead if we urge them to do so and provide them with the information they need.

Support The Freedom To Unionize, The Employee Free Choice Act  Tell Congress: Restore Workers’ Freedom to Form Unions
Some 57 million U.S. workers say they would join a union if they could. But when workers try to gain a union voice on the job, employers respond with intimidation, harassment and retaliation. And our labor laws are too weak to stop them. The Employee Free Choice Act would ensure that when a majority of employees in a workplace decide to form a union, they can do so without the debilitating obstacles employers now use to block their free choice.

Support Real Effort to Address US Oil Dependence
With gas prices tipping the $3.00 mark even before the summer driving season, it is more clear than ever that America needs to truly address its oil dependence. A bipartisan group of senators and representatives have introduced the Fuel Choices for American Security Act (S.2025/H.R. 4409), legislation that represents an important first step in that direction. It would require the president to save as much as 10 million barrels of oil per day by 2030 by creating incentives and standards that would increase vehicle efficiency and alternative fuel use. Take action today to urge your full Congressional delegation to cosponsor S.2025/H.R. 4409.

House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi released the following statement today regarding a lawsuit by House Democrats seeking to prevent the implementation of unconstitutional budget cuts

“Every elementary school student knows that the exact same bill must pass the House and Senate before it can be signed into law and have the force of law. It is an unambiguous requirement in our Constitution.

“However, what happened on February 8 was a direct violation of the Constitution. The President signed a version of the Budget Reconciliation bill that only passed the Senate, but not the House; therefore, that bill is invalid. This serious constitutional defect occurred with the knowledge of Republican Congressional leaders, and according to media reports, with the knowledge of the White House.

“These actions not only constituted an abuse of power, but undermined the rule of law. It is not surprising that the Republicans wanted to avoid any further votes on an unpopular budget bill loaded with special interest provisions and that slashed funding for students and health care coverage for children and low-income Americans. But the Constitution does not permit shortcuts to the process by which the laws under which we live are made. Adherence to the Constitution protects the American people from arbitrary abuses of power. That is why this lawsuit is necessary: to uphold the Constitution on behalf of the American people.”

A look back at "Mission Accomplished" from three years later
Monday, May 1, will be the third anniversary of President Bush's "Mission Accomplished" speech, in which he declared "[m]ajor combat operations in Iraq have ended." Even at the time, there were serious questions about continued violence in Iraq -- and, indeed, more than 2,000 American troops have died in Iraq since Bush's speech. But, as a Media Matters for America look back at news coverage reveals, Bush's speech was greeted with widespread media approval at the time.

Toxic Link: Animal Factories & Mother Earth  3/2/06
Happy (almost) Earth Day! Think nature. Conservation. Harmony. Poop. Yep, 2.7 trillion pounds of the stinky stuff is annually stockpiled in football-field length lagoons across Missouri, Minnesota, Iowa, Ohio, Illinois and other states. Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations (CAFOs) expel 130 times as much fecal matter as the entire population. Other than the preschool set, no one is giggling over this much poop. In modern agriculture, BIG is the operative adjective. The USDA’s 2005 Manure and Byproduct Utilization Action Plan shows just 2% of U.S. livestock farms now generate 40% of all “food animals.” Mega-farms stress turnout and revenue over environmental integrity, human safety, and animal welfare.

Republicans say; "Dump Cheney for Condi"
Republicans are urging President George W Bush to dump Dick Cheney as vice-president and replace him with Condoleezza Rice if he is serious about presenting a new face to the jaded American public. They believe that only the sacrifice of one or more of the big beasts of the jungle, such as Cheney or Donald Rumsfeld, the defence secretary, will convince voters that Bush understands the need for a fresh start. The jittery Republicans claim Bush's mini-White House reshuffle last week will do nothing to forestall the threat of losing control of Congress in the November mid-term elections.

"I base a lot of my foreign policy decisions on some things that I think are true. One, I believe there's an Almighty. H.R. 282, the Iran Freedom Support Act bill
On Wednesday the House passed H.R. 282, the Iran Freedom Support Act: a bill to hold the current regime in Iran accountable for its threatening behavior and to support a transition to democracy in Iran. H.R. 282 explicitly states: "Nothing in this Act shall be construed as authorizing the use of force against Iran." I have also co-sponsored H.Con.Res. 391, which calls on the President to request authorization from Congress before taking military action in Iran.

Landmines Continue to Threaten and Hurt the People of Bosnia-Herzegovina
Although the media and the American public have forgotten the tragic War in Bosnia of the 1990’s, LSN ~ Landmine Survivors Network has not. The war is over, but 670,000 “live” landmines remain buried in Bosnia-Herzegovina. These subterranean weapons of terror continue to deliver devastation and suffering long after peace treaties are signed and conflicts forgotten. Landmines have killed over 4,500 people, and they continue to kill and maim innocent civilians. Bosnians live in fear—afraid to take a step, afraid to let their children play freely, afraid even to farm their land.

Save Whales From a Cruel End: Stop Whaling Now
Whales are still in danger. Since a global ban on whaling in 1985, Japan has continued to kill whales in the name of “scientific research.” Yet legitimate scientists agree: there’s no need to kill whales in order to study them when non-lethal methods already exist.

Support Russ Feingold to Bring US Troops Home From Iraq
Tell your senators to support the Feingold amendment to end the war.
The Iraq War is costly and unpopular. According to a recent Congressional Research Service report, the costs of the war will reach $439 billion by the end of this year. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. The Congressional Budget Office projects total additional costs of $371 billion for the years 2007 to 2016, making a grand total of $811 billion.

Tragically, over 2,300 Americans troops have lost their lives and more than 17,000 more have been wounded. There is not a definite toll of Iraqi casualties, but estimates are in the tens of thousands.

Not surprisingly, the American people have turned against the Bush Administration and its failed war efforts. In a recent Washington Post-ABC News Poll, 62% of those surveyed disapproved of President Bush’s handling of Iraq and 58% felt that the Iraq War was not worth fighting. Strikingly, 79% of respondents felt that Iraq is either currently in a civil war or close to one and 54% supported decreasing U.S. forces there.

In June 2005, Senator Feingold became the first senator to offer a resolution calling on the President to offer a timetable for the withdrawal of U.S. forces from Iraq, suggesting the end of 2006 as a target date. This will be the first Senate vote on whether to bring American troops home. By writing your senator today you can increase the pressure on Congress to end this national tragedy and bring our troops home.

Sham ethics reform bill hangs on by a thread in the House
After intense in-fighting within the Republican caucus, the House yesterday agreed, on a largely party-line vote, to prohibit all Democratic alternatives and strengthening amendments from consideration of the Republican-crafted ethics and lobbyist reform bill - a bill which newspapers across the country are calling a "sham." For the complete story, as well as the top corruption and reform headlines, check out today's Clean Up Washington blog.

Torture is Un-American - Now Tell Our Leaders
Torture of detainees. Secret government kidnappings. Indefinite detention. These are not ideas that represent what American's stand for. Torture is un-American - and we need to tell our leaders, and the rest of the world, we oppose our government's unconscionable involvement in these acts!
Widespread evidence, including over 100,000 government documents released to the ACLU under the Freedom of Information Act, shows a systemic pattern of torture and abuse of detainees in U.S. custody. Still, the U.S. has failed to reverse the policies that led to these abuses, and has yet to hold a single high-ranking official responsible.

Bush and EPA put drinking water at risk:
Take action by May 1
The Bush administration is proposing to weaken health protections under the Safe Drinking Water Act. This change may result in up to three times or more the amount of cancer and other disease-causing chemical contaminants in the drinking water than is currently allowed for millions of Americans. Tell President Bush and the EPA to stop this unprecedented attempt to undermine our environmental and public health protections, by taking action today. The deadline to comment is Monday, May 1, 2006.

I do not watch the 'View', infact, I do not even own at television at this time. I watch shows on the internet, and watch movies on my portable dvd player. Anyways, if I did have a television, I would love to watch Rosie and  Star Jones go at it on the' View', because you know it will happen;

O'Donnell to Replace Vieira on 'The View'
Rosie O'Donnell is expected to make a surprise return to daytime television by taking over exiting Meredith Vieira's slot on the talk show "The View."...... She should have no problem holding her own with the other ladies on "The View." Since leaving daytime television, O'Donnell has become a strong advocate of gay and lesbian marriage and adoption. With her partner, she operates a cruise line for gay and lesbian families that was recently featured in an HBO movie.

Tell the United States Congress to Respect Global Treaty Protections!
When officials from 122 countries come together next week to move forward with phasing out a group of dangerous chemicals, the United States will be on the sidelines yet again. The U.S. government will participate as an "observer" at the second meeting of the Stockholm Convention on persistent organic pollutants (POPs), May 1-5 in Geneva Switzerland. The U.S. signed the landmark treaty five years ago this month, but the ratification process has become mired in Congressional politics and efforts to put industry concerns above protecting our health. Take action now! Send a letter to your Representative in Congress telling them the U.S. should participate in the Stockholm Convention without undermining the treaty's goals.

Tell Your Senator: Don't Allow Debt Collectors to Masquerade as Law Enforcement!
Debt collectors posing as prosecutors legally? Tell Congress "ENOUGH!". Congress is considering dangerous anti-consumer legislation that would make it OK for debt collectors to masquerade as law enforcement and extort illegal fees from consumers who have made innocent mistakes with their checkbooks, threatening them with jail if they don't pay up. Tell your Senator to oppose this special interest legislation!

The roots of the "immigration problem" are being ignored. Fix our trade policy -- don't expand it
The myopia in Congress is stunning. It is clear that NAFTA and NAFTA-like policies implemented in Central and South America by the IMF and World Bank have wiped out millions of campesino farmers' livelihoods and caused economic crises that have forced millions to migrate to the United States. Yet some Republican leaders in Congress continue to press for expanding NAFTA — while decrying "illegal" immigration.

Obesity Drug Linked to Colon Cancer
Public Citizen today petitioned the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to immediately remove from the market the prescription version of Xenical (orlistat, made by Roche Pharmaceuticals) because the obesity treatment has been known to cause a significant increase in aberrant crypt foci (ACF), which are widely believed to be a precursor to colon cancer. Last week, the FDA sent an “approvable” letter concerning the over-the-counter (OTC) version of orlistat to GlaxoSmithKline, which has applied to market this version. Despite safety concerns, if GlaxoSmithKline meets the conditions set by the FDA – conditions that have not been made public – this would make the drug eligible for final approval for OTC sales.

Fighting Dems Take the Hill
The spiritual leader of the group was none other than Senator Max Cleland, who was savegly attacked by a Republican noise machine as being soft on terror despite leaving limbs on the battlefield. You may or may not be a California resident, either way, the next two 'updates' will effect us all in the United States....funny....United States....we really do not seem to be "united" since most of us believe Bush acted immoral and lied us into war with Iraq, add to that, his approval percentage rating is in the low thirtys....we are in trouble.

Tell Congress It’s Time to Support the Employee Free Choice Act
Today, 57 million workers in America want to join unions. But employers routinely block their efforts—and our laws are too weak to protect them. It's time for Congress to support the Employee Free Choice Act, which would allow workers to make their own uncoerced decisions on whether or not to form a union. Please sign the following petition urging members of Congress to support this important legislation.

Is Big Business Paying Its Fair Share?
America's health care system is in crisis, thanks to some big, profitable companies that refuse to pay their fair share of health care costs by covering their workers. The Fair Share Health Care Act is vital legislation that will make a real difference for working families and responsible companies that do the right thing and pay their fair share. Make sure your state passes this legislation. Sign our petition today.

Stop Health Savings Accounts
In his State of the Union address, President George W. Bush announced the centerpiece of his efforts to reform health care would be tax breaks for people to pay for their own health care, including health savings accounts (HSAs), in which people replace traditional insurance coverage with their own savings.HSA-based health care would be a disaster for working families, a giant step backward that would shift costs away from employers to employees and their families and force many people to go without needed care.Write your U.S. representative and senators and tell them you oppose Bush's plan for health savings accounts.

Help Raise the Minimum Wage
In the past nine years, workers making the minimum wage haven’t gotten a single raise. Not one. And while the wage of $5.15 an hour has stayed the same, its value has dropped precipitously, putting workers further and further behind. It’s long past time for Congress to help the millions of workers earning the minimum wage or close to it. Sen. Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.) has introduced the Fair Minimum Wage Act, and you can help by signing on as a citizen co-sponsor of the bill.

End Executive Compensation Abuse
In the past few years, working families have seen their retirement security go up in smoke. But in the same period, corporate CEOs have gotten enormous new retirement packages worth millions a year. Too often, executives' compensation packages have little to do with the performance of the companies they lead. And while executives are required to report their pay to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), they often try to hide the true amounts behind complex accounting tricks. But now we can act to help stop this abuse. The SEC is considering new rules that would force companies to describe executive compensation packages in plain English and require them to estimate the total dollar value of all the pay. Send a message to the SEC today and tell the commissioners you support the new pay disclosure rules.

Tell McDonald's and Chipotle to Support Fair Wages for Farm Workers
Farm workers who pick tomatoes for McDonald's hamburgers and Chipotle's burritos earn about 45 cents for every 32-pound container of tomatoes they pick, a subpoverty wage that has remained stagnant for almost 30 years. Although Taco Bell signed an agreement last year with the Coalition of Immokalee Workers to pay an additional one cent per pound for tomatoes it purchases, McDonald's and Chipotle have refused to sign a similar agreement to raise wages in the fields. Tell McDonald's and Chipotle to support fair wages for farm workers and sign the agreement with the Coalition of Immokalee Workers now.

Two More Deaths in the Coal Mines
Two more coal miners died this week, bringing the total deaths so far this year to 26. It’s time to stop this crisis. Tell your members of Congress to support mine safety improvements. This year began with a terrible workplace tragedy, the explosion at the Sago Mine in West Virginia that claimed the lives of 12 miners. More than 24 coal miners have died in workplace accidents already in 2006, making it crystal clear that we need strong protection for our miners. As oil prices soar, pressure is on to produce more coal. As the coal mines kick into high gear, we have to protect the workers who are working for us. Let’s make sure there are no more Sagos. Contact your U.S. senators and representative today and ask them to support real reform to our mine safety laws.

How The GOP Auction House Hurts You
While you were paying $50 for a tank of gas, an oil company was posting record profits. And what is the Republican leadership doing to help? Giving subsidies to the big oil and gas industry, that's what. There is a cost to Republican corruption, and we are all seeing it as the price per gallon ticks up day by day at the gas station. For too long, the Republican-led Congress has allowed the special interests to get a hold of the agenda and under their influence we've witnessed nothing but giveaways to big corporations and industries that do not need a handout. We have seen legislation like the energy bill that sent $8 billion to big oil while doing nothing for gas prices and the Medicare bill that confuses and overcharges seniors. We have even seen them drag their feet on necessary meaningful reform for honest government. Congress has turned from the "People's House" to the auction house and it is time we took it back for American families.

Tell Washington: We Need Energy Independence
Will the president actually do something about what he called America's "addiction" to oil, or will he continue down his routine results-free path of catchy campaign slogans and empty promises? Stand with Democratic governors. Tell Bush American families need him to take meaningful action now. Democratic Governors are taking bold moves to lower gas prices and make America energy independent. Join our call on the federal government to do the same

Make a Difference by Cleaning Up Dirty Diesel Locomotive and Marine Engines
More than 150 million Americans still live in counties where they are exposed to unhealthful levels of air pollution, according to the American Lung Association State of the Air: 2006 report, released on April 27. Pollution from marine and locomotive sources are major contributors to the continuing air pollution problem in many areas.

Restore Funding for State and Local Air Quality
The President's budget for fiscal year 2007 proposes to cut critical funds—16 percent—from funding for state and local programs that fight air pollution. Losing these funds would cripple the nation’s first line of defense against air pollution. Help restore funding for State and Local Air Quality Management Programs by sending a letter today to your Senators and Members of Congress!

Stopping Crisis Pregnancy Centers
Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) recently introduced the Stop Deceptive Advertising for Women's Services Act, which would require the Federal Trade Commission to enforce truth-in-advertising standards for fake "clinics" or so-called "crisis pregnancy centers" (CPCs).  Many CPCs pose as objective health facilities using neutral-sounding names and deceptive advertising practices that lead women facing unintended pregnancies to believe that they will be offered unbiased counseling and a full range of reproductive health services. Unsuspecting women are lured into these CPCs with the offer of free pregnancy testing or HIV tests...

More moderate and realist-minded Republicans have been turned off by Bush's aggressive, interventionist foreign policy."

Kill the gag rule on ethics reform - no sham bill
The bill they are trying to foist on the American people fails to restrict campaign fundraising activities by lobbyists, fails to ban gifts from lobbyists, fails to curb revolving door abuses, fails to create an independent oversight and compliance office, and bans privately sponsored travel - but only until after the next election. It is indeed a sad joke. Even more remarkable, House Republican leaders are considering invoking a “closed rule” to prohibit any amendments or even debate on the House floor. Tell your Representative that you will not be snowed by this pathetic bill.

Two ways to Help Impeach Bush
#1 ~ The ImpeachBush Referendum
I want my representative in the U.S. House of Representatives to vote to impeach President George W. Bush, Vice President Richard B. Cheney, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld, and Attorney General Alberto Gonzales for high crimes and misdemeanors, and to have the case prosecuted and tried in the U.S. Senate.

#2 ~ Write a letter to Congress!
Demand that Articles of Impeachment be introduced!

Tell FDA: Stop Ignoring Safety Problems from Food Irradiation!
The Food and Drug Administration has overlooked substantial evidence that irradiated foods may not be safe for human consumption. Food & Water Watch and the Center for Food Safety have repeatedly informed FDA that numerous studies published in peer-reviewed scientific journals show genetic damage and other harmful effects from eating irradiated foods. And the agency is ignoring our scientifically-supported petitions to revoke its approvals for both irradiated ground beef and irradiated shellfish (such as oysters and clams). Please email FDA and urge them to respond to consumer concerns about irradiated foods!

Your drinking water is at risk and so's your health
The Bush Administration is proposing to weaken health protections under the Safe Drinking Water Act. This change may result in up to three times or more cancer and other disease-causing chemical contaminants in the drinking water for millions of Americans than is currently allowed. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) proposed policy change defines "affordability" under the Safe Drinking Water Act in a way that will seriously undermine health protections. If the EPA proposal stands, it would allow water utilities to cut corners and serve contaminated drinking water, arguing that it costs too much to clean it up, while still labeling the tap water as "protective of health."  Take action today by sending an email to EPA Administrator Stephen Johnson, and to your members of Congress. Comment period ends May 1

Flaws in states' lethal injection procedures
New Human Rights Watch report finds flaws in states' lethal injection procedures
".........corrections agencies do not permit anyone to monitor the prisoner’s level of anesthesia before the second and third drugs are administered. Standard medical—and even veterinary—practice requires a hands-on determination of the depth of anesthesia of the patient, or of an animal, before the initiation of any painful procedures. Yet during lethal injection executions there is no one, much less someone trained in anesthesia, who either ascertains a prisoner’s sedation level before the next two painful drugs are administered, or who continuously monitors the inmate’s consciousness levels throughout the execution until the prisoner has died. Similarly, there is no one who can make necessary adjustments to dosage amounts, should a problem emerge."

Fox News has confirmed that Tony Snow — who months ago called President Bush “impotent” and “an embarassment”   — will succeed Scott McClellan as White House press secretary.

Brady Leads a Nationwide Campaign Against Illegal Guns
The Brady Campaign has launched a landmark multi-year campaign to put an end to the pipeline of illegal guns from licensed gun dealers into
the hands of criminals. The Brady Campaign, named after former White House Press Secretary Jim Brady, who was shot when former President Ronald Reagan was shot, ( shot 25 years ago 3/30/1981 ), by John Hinckley, who was apparently trying to impress actress Jodie Foster, leaving him wheel chair bound. In 1985 , Sarah Brady, Jim Brady's wife, joined the fight for sensible gun control laws and in February 1994, 'The Brady Law' went into effect in the 32 states which have no background check system.

Progress Report: Price Gouging -- Don't Get Fueled Again ~ While Oil Companies Benefit
Under pressure to take immediate action to curb the rapid rise of gas prices, President Bush has only recently ordered an investigation into whether the price at the pump is being illegally manipulated. Yesterday, Bush said, "We'll make sure that the energy companies are pricing their product fairly. If we catch them gouging, if we catch them -- unfair trade practices, we'll deal with them at the federal government. That's what you expect the federal government to do." While these recent actions are a welcomed effort to demonstrate national leadership on the issue, Bush has for too long sat idly by as Americans have come under increasing strain from burdensome gas prices.

While retailers overcharge at the pump, oil executives continue to rake in tremendous profits. Last year, ExxonMobil recorded the highest profit
of any company in history, over $36 billion. Retiring Exxon chairman, Lee Raymond, is collecting "one of the most generous retirement packages
in history ," nearly $400 million. Royal Dutch Shell collected $23 billion in profits last year, a
record amount for a British company. American Progress will issue an in-depth analysis tomorrow detailing the oil industry's profits. The profits
have come from soaring crude oil prices at a time when supply is at an 8-year high.

Army Whitewashes Report on Major General Linked to Torture
In May 2004, Maj. Gen. Geoffrey Miller, a "central player in the detainee abuse scandals" at both Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo Bay, testified under oath to the Senate Armed Services Committee that he had "no direct discussions" with Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence Stephen Cambone regarding a fact-finding mission he had made to Abu Ghraib prison.

Big Pharma gouging consumers ~ Makers of Generics Being Paid to Drop Patent Challenges
"Brand-name drug companies have resumed the practice of slowing the sale of cheaper generic competitors by cutting deals that result in paying millions of dollars to makers of generic drugs while consumers continue to pay brand-name prices."

Fired CIA official Mary McCarthy denies being the source of the leak” for the Washington Post’s story on secret CIA prisons in Eastern Europe
Fired CIA official Mary McCarthy “categorically denies being the source of the leak” for the Washington Post’s story on secret CIA prisons in Eastern Europe. "Intelligence sources" likewise say that McCarthy "did not have access to specifics, such as prison locations," which was the new information in the story.

Cost of War Approaches $10 Billion Per Month
"According to a recent report by the Congressional Research Service, the combined costs of war in Iraq and Afghanistan this year hits $117.9 billion - about $9.8 billion a month - if Congress passes the White House's emergency money request, as is virtually certain."
More information:
"Another factor that could push the Iraq war onto center stage on the House floor is the war's cost. The total spent so far is about $250 billion, according to the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments. Congress is now considering adding another $92 billion to $106 billion to the fund the war."

Tell Congress to take action on Iraq
After three years and the death of more than 2,300 American soldiers in Iraq, Congress has yet to consider, debate and vote on alternatives to the President's disastrous course. Alternatives to the Bush stay-the-course policy - including those favored by most of our soldiers stationed in Iraq - have been ignored, and Congressional leaders continue to refuse to allow a full and open debate where all options to the open-ended occupation of Iraq are considered and voted on.

LATimes: U.S. ambassador warns of long stay in Iraq
The U.S. ambassador in Iraq on Monday urged war-weary Americans to dig in for the long haul: a yearslong effort to transform Iraq and the surrounding region, now one of the world's major trouble spots.

Here are 2 a two year old story about.....guess what......MISTAKES !!!

Most 'Arrested by Mistake'
"One man's mother was brought in, "and the policeman threatened to mistreat her." Another detainee "was threatened with having his wife
brought in and raped."

Coalition military intelligence officials estimated that 70% to 90% of prisoners detained in Iraq since the war began last year "had been arrested by mistake," according to a confidential Red Cross report given to the Bush administration earlier this year.

Yet the report described a wide range of prisoner mistreatment — including many new details of abusive techniques — that it said U.S. officials had failed to halt, despite repeated complaints from the International Committee of the Red Cross.

Abuse Of Iraqi POWs By GIs Probed

So what is the "price" of freedom? Attacking a country that was not going to attack us, then abusing its civilians?
Amercia is a terrorist country....I'll say it again;
AMERICAN IS A TERRORIST COUNTRY !!!

"The unlawful use or threatened use of force or violence by a person or an organized group against people or property with the intention of intimidating or coercing societies or governments, often for ideological or political reasons."
~ Dictionary.com

"The calculated use of violence (or threat of violence) against civilians in order to attain goals that are political or religious or ideological in nature; this is done through intimindation or coercion or instilling fear."
~ Dictionary.com

Is this a good description of what Amercia....or more appropriately what George Bush is?
I think so....

We are the bullies of the world, no wonder everyoine hates us and wants to kll us off.

THANKS GEORGE !!!

Neil Young's new song ~ "Let's Impeach the President"
The titles on the album include "Let's Impeach the President" which features Mr. Bush's voice overlaid above a 100-voice choir singing, "Flip flop."
Take a listen and see an interview with Neil

Neil's website displays a scrolling sample of lyrics from the album:

And when the dawn breaks I see my fellow man
And on the flat-screen we kill and we're killed again
And when the night falls, I pray for peace
Try to remember peace.

I am so glad the president can take a bike ride and enjoy the beauty of nature while he, at the same time, tries to destroy the environment while giving his friends tax breaks and free passes.

See folk, asswipe Bush doesn't give a hoot about our back yards. As long as it doesn't effect him, he doesn't care....that is what a "real" christian
lives like.

If there was a Jesus, the president is living in the complete opposite way that this Jesus suggested

Hitting the trail with nation's cyclist in chief ~ Bush leads his guests on a 17-mile ride through the canyons and woods of his 1,600-acre ranch.

"This is a chance for me to show you a little slice of heaven." The President stated before he began the bike ride.

"You are about to see a part of the world that you won't believe." The President states about halfway into the ride, where he leads the group of;     se
