India crossed over on New Year's Eve 2002/2003. She was well known for her loving kisses and for being a lover for water. She was considered the 'momma' of the neighborhood, loving younger dogs and flirting with the cute male dogs.
Having had a rough life, as alot of dogs do that are found in the many shelters of the world, she had her emotional scars, from what and who, we will never know. Afraid of little, but when she was, her whole body would shake and she would get in 'fight or flight' mode.
I was welcomed, along with my dog Shiva,(who was a puppy when they met) into her life, and brightened my day whenever I saw her. When I see her many pictures around my home, I am both happy and saddened. I miss her alot, she was a very loving cuddly dog, and her big brown eyes would express human-like emotions. I feel honored to have had her in my life for about six years.
She will be sorely missed in her physical form, hoping she never leaves our memory, while living on in the spiritual world.
India....if you are listening or watching, you will always be in my thoughts.......and I hope you know how much I care for you and feel for you.
India's Mother went on to adopt 'Lily' about a year after India had passed. Unfortunately, Lily had to be put to rest do to health problems that were terminal.
The last 6 months of her life were filled with happiness and joy.
As you can see with the picture below, she loved the snow and to play with her brother Dante, the golden-mix and Shiva, the black Lab of my family.
